Age-Friendly Laramie requests your entry for the first annual "Literary Laramie" contest. We are compiling creative writing pieces for the AFL Review, a brand new locally grown literary journal to be published online in Fall 2021.
Enter now to achieve literary fame, merit, and glory as one of our community's valued local authors. Prizes will be also awarded to the top three entries as judged by an impartial editorial committee of local expert connoisseurs of fiction and poetry.
To enter, send your prose and/or poetry before August 1, 2021.
This first issue of the AFL Review focuses primarily on themes related to aging in general and the gains and opportunistic losses that the aging experience affords us as maturing humans who live in our unique Wyoming community.
What have you learned over the years as a result of your journey through life? What wisdom have you gained as a result of your experiences? What losses have you endured and possibly grown from?
These themes are only loosely recommended, and you should not feel limited by them. Please submit any current unpublished pieces that you would like to share with the community.
We look forward to reading your work! Entry requirements are that you are aged 18 and over (we encourage entries from persons from across the adult life course), and that you are a current or former resident of Albany County, Wyoming.
Send your masterpiece to afl@age-friendlylaramie.org, with the subject heading "Literary Laramie". Deadline is August 1, 2021.
